I bought the IFD-175 specifically for PETG but I hope to use it on Nylon as well. Here in NM, I run a humidifier in the winter and evaporative cooling in the summer (40-60% most of the time.) I noticed my PETG starts getting stringy and zitty after about 24 hours of being on the printer and gets progressively worse over time. The IFD seems to eliminate that, so thank you!

Great product and amazing customer service. I’ve made a few prints with this so far and have seen improvements in print quality. If you don’t have one get one. Totally worth it. I broke a small piece on the dryer head removing it from a mount I made. Called the support line and they had a new one to me in a day. This is a company that stands behind their products.

Purchased this item to be sure that filaments like nylon, PVA & HIPS print as they should. This dryer insures that the moisture is driven out of the filament prior to it being fed into the nozzle. The unit has the ability to adjust to different temperatures based upon the material being used. There is also a readout of the actual temperature so you can monitor it closely. It comes fully assembled and ready for use. I noticed a difference in the very first print. I HIGHLY recommend this product if you are working with the various materials that are affected by moisture. It beats having to run your rolls of filament in a dehydrator or warm them up in an oven as this accomplishes the same thing as the filament is being fed to the hot end. The company that produces them has great customer service and is easy to contact. The only drawback is the small cooling fan is a little noisy but I have been told that they are working on that issue.

The package arrived a day early, landing on my doorstep yesterday. I got to work designing a mount that fit my hardware needs and have just completed my first print. It has eliminated all my problems with moisture as advertised! Brilliant!
I watched a bunch of the reviews on YouTube and found them all to be unfair in their testing parameters and therefore their results and assessments. To share my story, I operate my Ender 3 V2 in my garage. I currently don’t have an enclosure and it resides on a workbench out in the open environment subject to outdoor weather. I live in Los Angeles near the beach and it is always moist here. I run my machine almost 24 hours a day and the spool of material stays on top of the machine until the material is completely consumed. I had issues with gaps, pockmarks, stringing and layer adhesion. You could hear the popping and sizzle clearly during a print. With all things in my setup being the same, this has seemingly eliminated all those issues and left me with a clean part on my most troublesome component, on the very first print! I’m impressed. My point of view has always been that this was not intended to be a miracle cure for bucket soaked filament, it is a method of assuring well respected material is consistently dry when it enters the extruder. It appears to do that flawlessly. Bingo.

Wow! what a game changer this filament dryer has boosted the quality in my prints, I have been printing for a few years using Rubbermaid 21 cup container with pouches of silica but could not get rid of the moisture effects, layer separation and pock marking. Since purchasing this filament dryer all my 3d print quality has improved 1000%. WoW! I cannot imagine not using it and I recommend this filament dryer to everyone.

This perfected my TPU prints and is much easier than baking filament or other dehydration type dryers. I now use it on all prints and all filaments. Simple solution and works perfectly.
